Please join us Saturday, May 22nd from 12-2 at James Madison Park Shelter for an Open House for the Transformative Action Network, Dane County TimeBank, and Restorative Justice Practitioners.
As you know the Dane County TimeBank is in a period of transformation, as we explore deeper intersections of restorative justice, timebanking, and antiracist action. Come lend your voice, connect with community members, and propose new direction for our work!
We will be grilling out and will provide food and drinks, games, live music, and a DJ! Come spend your Saturday with us! We have some exciting announcements and lots of opportunities to learn about our projects and engage with us!
This event will be outside and following social distance guidelines. (Masks will be provided, if needed)

100 Strong Letter Writing Action
The Transformative Action Network and 100 Strong are looking to support and amplify James Washington’s calls for better and more humane medical treatment for himself as well as other folks within Columbia Correctional. James Washington is an inmate currently incarcerated in Columbia Correctional Institution. Over the course of the past four years, James has filed dozens of complaints related to being given the wrong medication, being denied access to dental and other health related services, and denial of care related to hip treatment. James recently underwent a thirty day hunger strike in an effort to meet his demands for adequate care. 100 Strong has a letter writing campaign happening now with a goal of writing 100 letters. Check out the recent blog about it and join us at the next 100 Strong meeting to support ongoing efforts to break silence around violence against Black people.
